The UNITED WIRELESS ARENA in Dodge City, Kansas will be the home of the BUDWEISER 50 THOUSAND DOLLAR MONSTER TRUCK CHALLENGE!
Friday and Saturday nights March 22nd and 23rd at 7:30pm each night the ground will shake as the UWA will turn into a battleground for this huge event right before the Monster Truck Grand National Championships!
On the list for monster trucks is 3 time National Champion BIGFOOT driven by Larry Swim. Swim is driving the Robbie Gordon SPEED ENERGY BIGFOOT and it is all new. This is the first BIGFOOT in competition with a Chevrolet motor! So far it is has somewhat of a struggle to dial this new truck in but now at the later part of the season Swim and his crew have a handle on what makes it go fast, “We have been working every weekend on the road and then take it back to the shop and debrief ourselves and the suspension guys and I have started to win again!”, Swim said.
Several of the trucks have been making a huge challenge this year including Paul Strong driving his finance’s truck called HEART BREAKER. Kaila Savage usually drives this truck but right about Christmas time she was going for a routine check up at the doctor and found she was pregnant so Paul stopped driving his well known MARTIAL LAW truck to drive her’s and he has won more races and won more freestyle competition than anyone so far this year. Paul wants that National Championship so you can bet to see him stand on the gas!
Another truck that has been phenomenal when he has not broke something is Larry Quick in the GHOST RYDER! Quick was in Dodge City last year and did the back-flip in his old truck. Now he has a new truck with plenty of power and with his big right foot he has been unbeatable when he was not struck with bad luck. ”I think all my bad luck has made me more determined this year. I have went through 4 transmissions a motor, and countless other parts because I drive so hard. Now I think I have everything beefed up to hang with me!”
His girl fiend Shannon is a newby this year but wow has she learned! Recently finishing 4th place in a big race she has that race fever, “When I come to the line or start crushing cars I do not think about being a woman I think about being a racer and it seems the adrenaline pumps me up!” We think Shannon has race fever and she is one to watch!
Zach Adams in his Rislone DEFENDER and his teammate Dallas in the Bardahl ELMINATOR are both Ford powered trucks are fast. Zach is doing better in points and is in line to make a push for the Championship, this Dodge City race is important bigtime for him.
Orville Hill from Orlando, Florida is the veteran. Orville even became a grand father recently but he shows the kids who’s boss when he gets in his OUTTAH CONTROL Monster Truck. His Chevy powered race truck has one of the best engines on the circuit, “We spend hours and hours getting our motor combination correct so we can be competitive with the big corporate teams like BIGFOOT so I am out to get him and try to put him back in the pits first run!,” all we can say is this is going to be wild to watch as they all stab the go fast pedal!
The BOGNER Family has stepped to the plate and with their Western Beverage Company sponsorship we will be able to bring some of the top Monster Trucks back to the Boot Hill town!
