With the ugly weather that is forecasted and this being the first big blizzard of the year the main topic today is not if Puxatany Phil saw his shadow but more how many feet of snow are we getting in Grand Island?

We also are worried that if the roads are closed and it is evident we have to cancel one of the shows our customers that have purchased tickets and others that have not but want to see the show that our friends in Nebraska and Kansas are taken care of.

There are no refunds – the trucks are there and ready to race – we are putting on two shows in Nebraska for our fans just like we have planned!

Read this carefully so there is no confusion . . . . .  Friday and Saturday events will go on as planned unless the roads are closed and then only would we cancel that night.

If a show has to be canceled then we would do a Sunday 2pm show to make sure customers would have the safe opportunity to come to the show.

Friday or Saturday Tickets would be honored for that show on that Sunday and also tickets would be on sale at the box office that day starting at 12 noon.

Stay tuned and while we need the moisture and snow in Nebraska let’s hope it bypasses us with this blizzard they are talking about.

The next year we had a contest and picked Chelsea Sanders who has absolutely turned into a great friend of Checkered Flag and the Bad Boys.  Chelsea races MX races and her brother Daniel Sanders competes on the west coast in the AMA Super Cross in the 250 Lites class. Her and her mother are a great team with Veronica snapping some great photos and Chelsea being her friendly and caring self to the racers and the fans they make a great combination.  From time to time Chelsea will bring someone to help as there is allot to do at the races.

They cannot make all the races so we are lucky to find other girls to take Chelsea’s place and we have some great luck.  Last year we found Samatha (Sam) Penn from Charlotte, and she also races MX and is a very pretty Carolina blonde with a huge smile and a great personality.  What luck to find these pretty girls that know what is going on with racing.

We now have Sam some help.  We would like to introduce you to Morgan Cayton.   Morgan is 20 years old and is from the small town of Sylva in Western NC.   She is in the medical profession is now a CNA and work in home health and is currenty going to school for dental hygiene.  She says she has 2 boxer dogs that are her life!  She got into motocross after she went to a race with her boyfriend.   She says, “I raced his quad one time and quickly decided I’m better off on the side line.  Morgan has a great personality and we think her and Sam will be an awesome team in Charlotte for Rounds #1 and #2 for the BAD BOYS PRO AX Series.

When you attend the races in Charlotte on Friday and Saturday next weekend Jan 6-7th make sure you say hello to these girls as they are both wonderful in their own right and we are proud and feel lucky to have them.   Chelsea will be in Chicago January 13-14th and we are currently looking for a Ms Arenacross West Coast for our Wenatchee, Washington event held the same time as Chicago.

Now meet Morgan our newest Ms Arenacross South.

For 2012 Series our Open Pro purse has been raised and our entry fees have discounted for our Amateur program.   These changes are to benefit the riders who we strive to gain and keep coming to our events.

We are looking into adding another class that would be monumental ~ something never done in Arenacross Racing and that is a PRO WOMENS Class with a Championship .  We are excited to be the first to open the door for Women to compete in a National level against themselves.   We are currently seeking women riders input and also manufactures involvement.

Jon Heddon is a former Arenacross and Supercross rider and has been involved in motorcycling for nearly all his 35 years.  We are excited to report Jon is joining our team here at Checkered Flag Productions and will take a huge role in the direction and dedication to our Arenacross projects and properties.  Jon is scheduled to move from his home in Las Vegas to Texas soon, and will be working in our office daily.

We feel that Jon and the folks from Read’s Racing will compliment each other to make our Arenacross Series even better.

We are the BAD BOYS OF ARENACROSS and we care about the rider and the race fan!!

In the past 4 or 5 years Mike Fonder has been the guy on the mic at the shows – he and his wife Lisa have become more involved with CFP in the past few months than ever before.   Mike Fonder with the help of Lisa will take on a new role of booking  trucks to the events we have on the schedule.

Mike will be researching the truck list that Ed Beckley already has committed to and adding other trucks that have expressed a desire to run for us this year. “We have been overwhelmed at the response from trucks we had never heard from before and that means we shall be changing the line-ups that might have grown stale in the past,” said Beckley.   Mike can be reached at(920) 494-2676 and is ready to contract your truck.  Mikes Email is cfpmikefonder@yahoo.com get ahold of him if you want to be added to our already new and improved truck roster! We are proud to see this many new guys in our line-up!!

We have also added Jack Brady to the mix. Jack and Ed first met over 15 years ago when Jack was driving his own race truck Kimosabe.   That truck was ahead of it’s time and Jack drove the wheels off it.  Currently Jack has one of the nicest ride trucks in the business and he also promotes outdoor events at Fairgrounds and race tracks up and down the east coast.  Jack has the same desire to put on a safe show and his safety record is un-blemished.   Jack will be doing event directing at some shows like Salem, Va and will have his ride truck also there.   Glad to have you and some of your crew along Jack.

Travis Willis the FMX jumper will be announcing some of our Arenacross events and also performing at some of our other shows. Travis is a great announcer and knows the Arenacross terms front and back.  Travis will be a fresh voice and his maturity is a great thing when you have an announcer.

More new names and old ones are coming back and we thank GOD everyday for our abundant blessings.

Participating interns would see the business part of business, something you just cannot learn in College.  This is an experience that will enhance your college training.  There is unlimited oppurtunites and what you will learn here which can be used in many different facets of the entertainment industry and media both eletronic and print.

You will be assisting with daily operations of our promotion company which is involved in many different productions.  Our main focus is many different motorsports events and have promoted and produced the Rock N’ Race Fest with such chart topping rock stars Pop Evil, Jackyl, and Halestorm.  In fact our latest step outside of the box was to do a Gospel Concert with Gospel superstar Deitrick Haddon.

We promote and produce fun events that people spend money to purchase tickets and we have fun doing the work it takes to make it perfect or the closest thing to it.
