THE CFP 2010 POINTS SYSTEM

The 2010 Checkered Flag Productions Monster Truck Winter Nationals Champion will be decided using a points system that rewards top performance in wheelie / donut, racing and freestyle competitions. The top three finishers in wheelie / donut and freestyle competitions will receive points, while each competitor in racing will receive points. There is a separate points scale based on whether the racing competition is run using standard brackets or run with third and fifth place races included. The maximum points a driver may score in one event is 250, while the maximum points a driver could score in the regular season is to be determined. Only the top 10 drivers will be listed on the website.

To account for the fact that some drivers will run more events than others, only a driver’s best 6 event point totals will be included in their overall point total. The Monster Truck Grand Nationals Championship Event in Pocatello, ID will be worth double points and will be added to the driver’s best 6 regular season event point totals to calculate their final season point total.
