With the ugly weather that is forecasted and this being the first big blizzard of the year the main topic today is not if Puxatany Phil saw his shadow but more how many feet of snow are we getting in Grand Island?

We also are worried that if the roads are closed and it is evident we have to cancel one of the shows our customers that have purchased tickets and others that have not but want to see the show that our friends in Nebraska and Kansas are taken care of.

There are no refunds – the trucks are there and ready to race – we are putting on two shows in Nebraska for our fans just like we have planned!

Read this carefully so there is no confusion . . . . .  Friday and Saturday events will go on as planned unless the roads are closed and then only would we cancel that night.

If a show has to be canceled then we would do a Sunday 2pm show to make sure customers would have the safe opportunity to come to the show.

Friday or Saturday Tickets would be honored for that show on that Sunday and also tickets would be on sale at the box office that day starting at 12 noon.

Stay tuned and while we need the moisture and snow in Nebraska let’s hope it bypasses us with this blizzard they are talking about.

This Friday and Saturday 7:30pm each night the roaring screaming motor monsters will be inside the arena with the MONSTER TRUCK WINTER NATIONALS and HOT ROD TRUCK N TRACTOR PULL CHAMPIONSHIPS!   Yes it really is happening – a motorsports event inside the Mesquite Arena!  We are excited to be selected as the promoters of this event and we really happy that we are also bringing BIGFOOT to the DFW area!

The line-up of Monster Trucks features BIGFOOT who has not performed in the DFW area for over 15 years.  The KING OF THE MONSTER TRUCKS is coming with their BAD BOY version and that means the pilot is Larry Swim!  Larry has been the two time Winter National Champion and wants that title back and this two night event has both nights of points up for grabs and right now he is needing them.

The other trucks coming are set for attack also.  Wait till Rob French brings his Corvette racer to the track.  He calls it Formula One IRON HORSE and this horse has about 1800 horsepower and French knows how to get every bit of it to the track.

His step son Kyle Carrington is on a rememberance tour for his father who was killed at a monster truck show in Tulsa a few years back.  Kyle will be driving his dad’s last WILD FIRE truck and it is a runner for sure and Kyle has beaten BIGFOOT already this year.   This kid is going to be fast, he is already good now he will just keep getting faster and faster!

An old name in Monster Truck racing is CLYDESDALE and the driver Bennett Clarke is an old rodeo rider himself and who knows he might be a huge threat as we are sure Bennett who was a professional bull rider has probably won in Mesquite before!

A new face to the CFP stable is Revvin Kevin King in STRAIT JACKET!  Strait Jacket is an old FORD monster truck that is being driven by a MAD MAN!   Kevin King knows how to stand this thing on the tailgate, he knows how to race, he knows that he wants to beat everyone and just might do it!

Hot Rod Truck N Tractor Pulling will be stretching their drag all the way thru the arena!  This place is huge so we have plenty of room to run nearly a 300 foot track.  First time ever for Trucks and Tractor Pulling in Mesquite also.

Seems like yesterday when we began coming to the HARDY MURPHY COLISEUM in Ardmore at the fairgrounds.   This old building has had many improvements including heating, air conditioning and a new sound system that rocks!!

Monster Trucks compete in several different competitions including a tail gate ripping wheelie contest.   Trucks slam into the sides of the cars and go flying vertically in the air.

Next we drag race them to the cars then let them hit the sides of the unprotected cars with side by side racing.

Finally the last event each night is the crowd favorite where for 2 minutes the monster trucks attack the stack of old cars.

Definitely FULL of a flash bulb blowing moments.

Washington, Orgeon, Idaho, Nevada and even Montana has plenty of talented riders and we have seen some of the best racing ever inside the TOWN TOYOTA CENTER.

This year our dirt contractor has promised us mostly clay base material which should pack and stay in place.  Two years ago we fought the sandy material to try first to build a track and then to keep it and we were stressful but our track builders are really revved up with the positively and eye on that clay!
