Ed talks about the Weather in Grand Island

Hello friends this is Ed Beckley the owner of Checkered Flag Productions.  The weather is a huge concern in Grand Island, Nebraska for this weekend.

With the ugly weather that is forecasted and this being the first big blizzard of the year the main topic today is not if Puxatany Phil saw his shadow but more how many feet of snow are we getting in Grand Island?

We also are worried that if the roads are closed and it is evident we have to cancel one of the shows our customers that have purchased tickets and others that have not but want to see the show that our friends in Nebraska and Kansas are taken care of.

There are no refunds – the trucks are there and ready to race – we are putting on two shows in Nebraska for our fans just like we have planned!

Read this carefully so there is no confusion . . . . .  Friday and Saturday events will go on as planned unless the roads are closed and then only would we cancel that night.

If a show has to be canceled then we would do a Sunday 2pm show to make sure customers would have the safe opportunity to come to the show.

Friday or Saturday Tickets would be honored for that show on that Sunday and also tickets would be on sale at the box office that day starting at 12 noon.

Stay tuned and while we need the moisture and snow in Nebraska let’s hope it bypasses us with this blizzard they are talking about.

Ms. BAD BOYS ARENACROSS NATIONALS

For the Championship weekend inside the new KOVALCHICK ARENA located on the college campus in Indiana, PA on March 16th-17th-18th we have decided to have more than one Ms. Bad Boys Areacross.   We started seeking some beautiful girls and right away we found several on our own and then found out we have a contest going already.

Our marketing department from the Arena told me (Ed Beckley the owner) to hold on they have already started a contest.

So no one has been picked.   We announced Laci had been picked but that is a little premature and I apologize to her, and take full responsibility for jumping the gun.

Laci we have taken your information and photos and put it in the hunt – good luck girl  - and we will be announcing who wins by March 1st,   that means there is plenty of time to get entered.

The hunt with proper rules looking for four girls to make this GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP be the biggest Arenacross Championship ever!

HISTORY MAKING DALLAS AX

Just one more week for Arenacross legend Josh “the Sheriff” Demuth to get to race in his hometown area.

The 32 year old Texan who has been winning races for nearly his whole life,  just a few days ago announced his retirement from the AMA Series.  Those who know him were not suprised because of the injuries this guy has suffered the last few years and the pressure from being away from his family.

The best news is we got him!

Yes that is right Josh will be riding motorcycles sponsored by FOX RACING and OAKLEY!  The  confirmed this morning he will be racing at selected races and of course one that he selected is the Dallas BAD BOYS PRO AX NATIONALS coming to the Mesquite Rodeo Arena January 20th & 21st, 2012!

We first met Josh probably 15 years ago when he came to one of our Arenacross races and he is a fierce competitor and is ready to race in his home town.   Other Pro Riders who are ready for the challenge are Steve Roman and Brad Ripple.   Roman from Pennsylvania and Ripple from Illinois who now lives in Houston are all in the hunt this year and all will be in Dallas also for this war in the dirt!

The AMA has not had an Arenacross race in the DFW area for a few years and so we stepped to the plate to bring the hard hitting action back to town where it all started with Mike Kidd Productions.  The venue we have always wanted to do an event has a new manager so finally after over 30 years the Mesquite Rodeo Arena will hear the sound of a revved up motor as the BAD BOYS OF ARENACROSS hit that hallowed dirt on Friday & Saturday nights January 20-21st with a stop on the PRO NATIONAL ARENACROSS Races and Series.

The Mesquite Rodeo Arena or as it is known now Resistol Arena has been basically an equine facility but new manager Steve Gandor called his old friend Ed Beckley of Checkered Flag and wallah there is a BAD BOYS AX race inside the arena and more motorsports events in their future.  The rich red loamy clay will work just great for building an AX track and there is a huge indoor pit area that could house 200 bikes plus under the roof out of the weather.  The old arena has been updated and brightened up and huge television video boards are hung everywhere for the spectators to see replays and even watch the event while you are having a 5 star meal in the 8 second club.

TV cameras will be rolling for this event and we are expecting a full house as ticket sales are already looking good without any advertising going on.  Riders from all classes will finally have a chance to be part of the big show.  ”Local amateur and Pro riders never get the chance to peform in the SuperCross events that come here,” said Ed Beckley CEO of Checkered Flag Productions.   “We want to feature them as well as our top touring pro riders that have factory backing and support.   “Our direction is, the little racer cannot ever get to be a big time racer without exposure and this event will give riders in this event plenty of exposure and also it will be a great track!,” said Beckley

His style is near flawless lap after lap and now you can rub elbows and learn from one of the best, as Josh will be holding a one day riding school Saturday January 21st prior the final night of the BAD BOYS U.S. ARENACROSS NATIONALS

Josh has been a staple in professional motocross since turning pro in over 10 years ago.  Josh won the AMA ARENACROSS title several years is one of the most respected racers on the circuit and you will learn how to ride better and more comfortable which makes for faster lap times.

School Information:

What to expect.

Josh’s riding school teaches skills and techniques to all levels and ages of riders – young, old, male, female, beginner, pro, or mini.  Josh teaches all classes personally. He goes over everything necessary to hone your technical riding skills, jumping, cornering, starts, line picking, proper body positioning, and more.

Each student is carefully evaluated while taking the school, and Josh will have after school type homework for you to work on to even go faster.

What to bring: You will need to bring your own bike, gas, riding equipment, & drinks and a lunch.

SCHEDULE FOR A TYPICAL SCHOOL: (Tentative)

9:30am to 10:30am Registration, check-in, sign releases.

10:45am  Pre-School meeting to equipment and gear - discussion of general track rules -and school.

11am Warm-up ride and another check of equipment.

Review individual bike setups; Establish correct posture and riding position

Review procedures on the starting line

Riding techniques including braking and cornering.

Riding techniques including passing, jumping, and bumps.

Review  and end of school.

The School will take place Saturday Jan. 20th from 11am to 2pm at the MESQUITE REISTOL ARENA where later that day the final race for the BAD BOYS USA ARENACROSS NATIONALS for Pro and Amateur motorcycles and quads finish up.

Jan 13-14th Chicago Sears Centre Arenacross with a Monster Flip!

The Bad Boys of Racing Arena Cross Nationals return to the Sears Centre Arena on Friday and Saturday January 13^th and 14^th 7:30pm each night. Grab some tickets and see high powered motorcycles and adrenaline charged riders compete on a Super Cross style race track with huge jumps that send the riders flying.

Plus this year The DAREDEVIL Monster Truck will rev up the big motor and slam into a specially made jump that will send that truck nearly 50 feet in the air!  As the driver Larry Quick works his controls and uses the throttle his truck will hopefully do a full rotation back flip!  That’s right a complete Monster Truck back flip will be the icing on the cake.  He will either make history or be history if he does not make it completely around and lands on the roll cage!   Come see this awesome event!

Charlotte MOTOCROSS and MONSTERS!

The BAD BOYS OF RACING will bring the BAD BOYS ARENACROSS PRO NATIONALS with all the best riders from Pro riders to the Amateurs including classes for youth ages 4-6 year olds and this year 3 of the BIGGEST and BADDEST  Monster Trucks will also be in competition.

Last year Curt McCabe from Iowa on his STORM LAKE HONDA’s basically dominated the weekend and set in motion for him to win his first National Championship.

North Carolina and the surrounding area has plenty of their own talent including Jim Neese.  Jim has been a winner for a long time and is heavily involved in teaching and mentoring young riders.  Neese took his YZ 250cc stroke Yamaha to the front and if he could have done every lap like he did the first he would have won.  Neese will be one to look at this year as he is determined to put his ride on top of the box.

BIGFOOT a FORD, STRAIT JACKET an old skool FORD, and CLYDESDALE a CHEVY will be in a showdown with Monster side by side racing and then after all the arenacross races are done the CFP Crew will be bringing in a stack of junk cars in the arena and turn them trucks loose for a wild freestyle car crushing contests!
