Monster Truck Winter Nationals take over Monroe, LA Feb 26-27

Get ready Monroe, the Bad Boys are coming to town!  The 2010 Monster Truck Winter Nationals will rumble into Monroe, Louisiana February 26-27 and an action packed show is set to hit the Monroe Civic Center like a supercharged ton of bricks!

As the tour dates come and go the points battle for the Monster Truck National Championship gets more intense with every event.  Current points leader and defending National Champion Larry Swim and his truck the Bigfoot Bad Boy headline a strong field of competitors in Monroe.

Attempting to dethrone the king will be 4 of the top performing trucks in North America including TV stars Maniac and Jurassic Attack who are coming all the way from Canada to compete – as well as War Eagle and Razin Kane who are both relative newcomers but have been proving they’ve got what it takes by racking up wins and fans all over the country.

These 5 trucks will be going head to head in a Monster Truck Wheelie Contest where getting the front tires sky-high and putting the truck close to and possibly past vertical are the keys to victory.  Some tailgates are going to get ripped off and left in the dirt, you can be sure of that!

The trucks will also be taking to the floor for side-by-side racing, when the light turns Green, these guys know how to get mean.  They might be friends off the track, but when it comes to racing it doesn’t matter who is in the other lane, WINNING is the only thing that matters.

Finally, last but by no means least, the Monsters will hit the floor for the always exciting Freestyle Contest where anything goes – except for going easy!  Big air, massive wheelies and wild donuts are just some of the things you’ll see when these trucks hit the floor for Freestyle!  Some lucky VIP fans will get to judge the Freestyle contest, so make sure to wear your favorite Monster Truck gear, because we always chose the fans that gear up the best!

Also in action in Monroe we’ve got Motorcycle and Quad riders on the Speed Moto course.  Think of it like a smooth riding Motocross track with 4 foot tall jumps and fast corners.  Staying clean and staying fast is what it’s all about, but don’t be surprised to see someone get used for traction if they aren’t going after it hard enough.

Rounding out the night’s action is a wild and crazy Hot Rod Demolition Derby!  Local drivers will be slamming steel to get a piece of the trophy and cash prizes that are up for grabs.  Metal will get mangled, mud will be flung and the engines are sure to be screaming!
